Contact groups errors

I have an academic account. I have created three contact groups for university classes. Only one of them appears in my contacts list. The other two appear in the predictive list when I start typing in the 'To' field in a new email, but not in the contacts list.

The group that does appear in the contact list creates an error if I type its name into the 'To' field in a new email and send the email: "An internal support function has returned an error." However, if I send an email to this group via selecting it in the contacts list, Outlook sends the email without complaint.

The result of this is that if I want to send the same email to all three groups, I have to do it twice - once through the contacts list for one group, and again through 'new email' for the other two. Somewhat irritating.

Has anyone experienced this problem or can anyone suggest a solution?

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for reaching out in the Community. I hope you're having a good day, despite of the issues you're experiencing in your contacts in Outlook.com.

I'd like to ask, have you tried accessing your email using a different browser? If the same issue occurs, try accessing it through private browsing.

If the same issue occurs on a different browser, I suggest that you get in touch with our In-App Support to get further assistance on addressing this matter. Doing so, they'll be able to check if this is an account related issue. To reach them, please follow the steps below:

    1. Log in to your Outlook.com account.
    2. Click the ? icon at the top right corner.
    3. Type in your query in the box and select the Get help button.
    4. Go to Still need help option below and click on Yes.
    5. Confirm the email address where you want to receive an update from our In-App Support and then click Send.

Or else, you may directly email them via this link

Note: The waiting time will possibly change depending on their volume.

Should you have any other concern, don't hesitate to post back in the Community.

    Thanks.
