Hello,

We've installed several notebooks and desktops with Intune | MDM | AAD joined and everything is working as expected. At this moment we're using 19042.1052 (20H2) version of Windows 10. We've got several (basic) profiles active (Bitlocker, Edge settings), one compliance policy the MDM security baseline (dec 2020 version) and the Edge baseline.

If we initiate a Autopilot reset, device will be rebooted (in 45 min), tries to reload | reconfigure Windows, but then the message 'nothing is resetted' appears and in the portal we see a message that the Autopilot reset is failed.

Looked in the Logs of the $SYSRESET folder, but unable to find were the process is failing. Has anybody else seen this error? And how it can be fixed?

Thanks already for the help by reading this.

Best regards,
Michiel

    Hi,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft Q&A forum. Please help check if the prerequisites are met:

1,May we know if the devices are Hybrid Azure AD joined? If yes, the Autopilot Reset does not support Hybrid Azure AD joined devices; a full device wipe is required.

2,To use Autopilot Reset, Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) must be enabled on the device.

For more information, please refer to: Reset devices with Autopilot Reset

    Best regards,
    Simon
