How do I remove the delete button from the message list in Outlook?

I hate having a delete button right next to the flag button in my email list in Outlook - it makes accidental deletion far too possible. I fixed this before by using touch mode - which moved the delete button to the opposite side of the screen.

However as of the latest update (Sept 2020) its back in the message list, mere pixels from the flag button and only visible on mouseover, so its easy to forget its there and stupidly easy to misclick.

How do I get rid of it?

@AnthonyKear1 You're exactly right. I had the same question here. Microsoft UI designers really don't know what they're doing. Very far away from user friendly design.

You cannot, using an actual mouse or touch pad, in which its all to easy to suffer from 'fat finger'?
