IMAP folders

When I open my outlook email(s) I get this message: IMAP search folders based on criteria of message size, recipient, or sender do not work on messages already downloaded. To fix this, remove your IMAP email account, and then add it again.

What does this mean and how do I remedy it? My little brain is not comprehending the message so I'm wary of following its instructions.

    That means if you create a search folder, it won't find messages already downloaded. If you don't create search folders, check the option to not show it again.
