this has happened off and on for a few years, I get my account unlocked i use it for my games I need to get in there to verify something and bam "we have detected suspicious activity please varafy" sweet as I have another account for this, log into that one "we have detected suspicious activity please varafy" i have this same thing for all my 5 verification accounts, which means I cant get in, then it asks me to either make a new one or log into one, now I have a 6th ccount and I still cant get into the email I wanted to, every few years the same thing, and I cant contact a person to ask its like the phone numbers and emails have just disappeared so I'm pretty much up the creek without a paddle and I know even when I get it fixed in a year or so the same thing it going to happen, at least the hackers let me view my emails, your ani hack stuff might work I don't know but I cant get in either so whats the point? at this point I would rather deal with hackers signing up to random stuff and reading my emails then not being able to do anything and running around in a circle trying to get my account back, hotmail used to be good and was my only email and I loved it, but now I only come here if its something to do with something I cant change the email on.

since I can NOT find any way to contact the people in charge of keeping this ship floating im left with this, posting for help probably going to be ignored because that's what has been happening for the past 20 years I have been using hotmail.

    Hi NineCherries9,

Welcome to Microsoft Office Community Forum. Thank you for sharing your concern with us today and we hope that all is well.

We could not imagine what you have gone through just to keep a Microsoft account and use the services it offers. We are thinking that you have the capability to keep am account and this should not be happening to an active user like you. Let's do our best to get this addressed in timely manner.

We would like to know and investigate your concern, we will ask for further information regarding to these concern:

    1. Can you please provide us a screenshot of your current error to your Microsoft Accounts? Please see guide here:  How to include a screenshot in your post.
    2. May we know if the 5 verification accounts were your security information/ secondary email to your main and first Microsoft account? If not, can you please tell us more about it?
    3. May we know if you are using Virtual Private Network (VPN)?
    4. What kind of games are you playing, Windows PC games or Xbox games?

Kindly let us know, if there is any misunderstanding of our description by sending us a reply.

this message pops up every few years doesn't matter if I'm using the same phone i always use, then i go to the verify and fill in the security email to get my code from the backup email i used from the last time it happened, log into that account to get the code, the same message but for this account, and this happens to all the accounts that i have had to make as backups over the years because of this issue.
i am not using a VPN, the games i play are both windows pc and xbox

    Thanks for your response, NineCherries9.

In most scenario, if you were prompted with this message " We have detected unusual activity on your Microsoft account ____@hotmail.com, or believe your credentials are at risk." this is just to verify and secure the account. Securing the account must need updated personal information (profile picture, complete name, birthday, address, etc.,), secondary email address and phone number.

To keep your account active sign in at least once in a year in Outlook webmail (https://outlook.live.com/) to keep your emails and on Microsoft Account (https://account.live.com/) to update and check

If you already have done securing and updating your account. You may try to visit this link and let us know if you still need to secure your account in here. https://account.live.com/reputationcheck

Same goes with your secondary emails - you will need to secure them so in the future you will not need another email to secure your main account.

We will wait for your update.

    Kind regards,

    Kathy A.
