Where is the “Microsoft Database Utility” in Mac Outlook 365 like it was in 2011?

See Picture.

Is this still there in the Mac 365 version?

In the 2011 version the DB had a tendency to get corrupted over time.  The way around preventing this was to rebuild it regularly.  For this you needed the Microsoft Database Utility.  I cannot find it in the 365 version.  Where is it?

Or is this done differently in 365?

Thanks.

    Hi ChangeAgent

My apologies for the misinformation you've received so far.

    Outlook profiles identities

Outlook 2016 and 2019 use the same general scheme as was used in 2011. In 2016 & 2019, like 2011, each Identity is a folder, except that Identities are now called “Profiles” and the Profile folders are not in the Documents folder.

Office 2016 and 2019 PROFILE LOCATION

    /Users/UserName /Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/Outlook/Outlook 15 Profiles/

Profiles are folders in the hidden Library folder.

In Finder, hold down the OPTION key while selecting GO from the FILE MENU; Library appears in the list.

In Office 2016 and 2019 there is an app that lets you set the default Profile for Outlook to use. Here’s how to find it:

In the Applications folder, right-click on Microsoft Outlook.app

From the pop-up menu choose Show Package Contents

    Open the Contents folder

    Open the Shared Support folder

Drag the Outlook Profile Manager.app icon to your dock

Now you can run Outlook Profile Manager.app to add, remove, and set the default profile.

    Rebuild Your Outlook Profile:

Go to where the mail database is stored

Copy this link and paste it into Finder’s GO menu > Go to Folder

    ~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/Outlook/Outlook 15 Profiles/Main Profile/Data

    Then, rename the "Outlook.sqllite" file.

Now, open Outlook and you should be prompted that there is a problem and outlook needs to rebuild.

    Let Outlook rebuild your profile.

Now use the Outlook Profile Manager to set your original profile to the default and see if rebuilding the profile fixed the profile.

If the rebuilt profile is good, you can use Outlook Profile Manger to delete the old, bad one. You can delete the renamed Outlook.sqllite file, as it is defective.

If the new profile still causes a crash, then it appears you will have to start all over with a new profile, or you can restore the last working copy of the bad profile using Time Machine.

    Thanks to iTurbo

Hi ChangeAgent , This is Ken F. One of the Individual Advisor and a fellow user. Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. Yes it is done differently in 365. In 2011, you just have to visit the default location in in /Applications/Microsoft Office 2011/Office/. But if you're doing it on Office 365, you must follow these steps:

    1. From Finder, open the Applications folder.
    2. Ctrl+click or right-click Microsoft Outlook, and then select Show Package Contents.
    3. Open Contents > SharedSupport, and then launch Outlook Profile Manager.

It's also discussed in this article

    Good morning.

For Outlook search, it is dependent on your Mac's Index. So if you're not getting any search results, most likely, you need to rebuild your index in your Mac. There's also other troubleshooting steps here listed that you can try instead of rebuilding your identity since it will take some time.

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/274153...

Thanks for the link + info.  just so one knows, in case others read this, the OutlookSearchRepair utility does not work in 365.

For you to merge one calendar to another, you must drag the entry from one calendar to another file and import it directly to the calendar that you want to show in your Outlook.

Are you saying drag one after the other?  I have hundreds of entries!  I tried selecting them all but that does not work.

Also a work around will be you can click on the arrows that I encircled to view them all in one calendar but it's going to be identified by color.

Are you saying that once I click the arrow they are merged?

If not mergeable in a fast way, it leads to the following question.  If I do not, and can not easily merge them, if they are all active, they will al show and function?  Or?

Are new entries than stored in Calendar (the blue one in my pic)?

Thanks for your answer, as I run major software changes on a test machine I will report back once I am back on that one.
