Cannot select From account in email

Hello Y'all,

I recently migrated to a new PC and after setting up Outlook, I've noticed that the From box on an email I compose is blank and does not allow me to change it.  I've tried running the repair.  I've also tried creating a new Outlook profile (neither of which helped).  Any ideas here?

I'm using the desktop Outlook installed via Office 365 Business

Thank you,

  Arin Lipman

The From account goes missing if there is a POP or IMAP account in the profile.  This is a bug and it will be fixed in the next build that goes out likely next week.

A workaround is to click File, Options, Mail, Send Messages and uncheck "Always use the default account when composing new messages".  After that is unchecked you can go to the Inbox of the account you want to send from and it will send from the account of that mailbox.

If you need to send from a distribution group the best suggestion would be to create another Outlook Profile with just the Exchange account.  From will work in that profile since it does not have a POP or IMAP account in it.
