Hello, I have starting receiving many emails a day from various advertisers with email addresses ending in "onmicrosoft.com". How can I stop this? My G.mail account filters these out why cant Outlook 365?

Hello Matt,

I'm Diane, an Office Apps & Services MVP specializing in Outlook, and I’m happy to help you today.

I don't know what Microsoft filters isn't removing them - but you can create a rule to delete mail with words in the address and use onmicrosoft, com as the word.

Yes it will automatically delete them all . A lot of people will use this method as there is no other way. Sending them to junk mail is not helpful as you have to wade through them all anyway. Unfortunate for someone who legitimately uses an "onmicrosoft.com" email account but better for me than getting 10 to 15 spam emails a day in my business email. Guess it is best not to use on.microsoft.

Thanks. Creating a rule for all "onmicrosoft" in senders address has done the trick!

That's not an acceptable answer - legit small O365 users may be assigned email accounts which are "@onmicrosoft.com". We cannot afford to filter them all out.

In any case, Exchange seems to be placing them all in my Junk folder. I would like to set a rule to delete them, but once they're in in Junk, there's no way to have a rule for them.
