I received the following email by . I am wondering if it is genuine or a phishing.

    Indeed, that email is a phishing scam and not legitimate. Microsoft will never send emails to notify about closing email accounts. Accounts can only be closed manually by the owner, or if the account becomes inactive.

    Please mark them as Spam or Phishing through the Junk button, never click on any links and delete those emails right away. More details can be found below.
