Text has incorrect format when using paste in Microsoft Office

I am having a nightmare with a Surface pro and not being able to use the copy/ paste funtion within the office suite.  It only gives me the Text only option which means i cant setup and copy/paste a signature file with links and images!.  Can anyone help as I have tried the various optons on the web including the Skype click to call add in and checking that the paste special options is switched on in the outlook options menu.

I had a second surface pro with the same issue and resolved this by starting outlook in safe mode and then I was able to copy/paste the signature file with the correct formatting.  However doing the same on this device does not work?  Weird and very frustrating.  Any advice or help would be greatly recieved.

thanks

janet

Hello Janet.

According to your description, I understand that the formatting is lost when pasting text in Microsoft Office on your Surface Pro and you have installed the latest version of Click to Call and the option Show Paste Options button when content is pasted is checked and start in safe mode. Regarding your problem, I'd like to confirm the scenario to narrow your problem down. Therefore, please provide the following information to me:

1.  Whether the same problem happened on other Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint?

2.  Please click File > Options > Mail > Editor Options > Advanced, then check if you choose Keep Source Formatting in Cut, copy, and paste part. For your reference:

3.  Please share a screenshot of the Office version with me. To do that, please open an Office application like Outlook and then click File > Office Account, in Product Information section, you can see the version about Outlook like the following screenshot:

Thanks for your time.

Regards,

Seven

    Hi Seven

Apologies about the long delay in replying to your information above.  This is still happening and the client has now come back to me to resolve the issue as they are a training company and had other things on their mind last year with no work coming in.

Yes the setting about the copy / paste as the top that you have mentioned are correct as you suggest.

Also yes it seems to do the same issue with word and the other office apps with regards to copy paste .

the other issue i have discovered with this particular surface pro is that you are unable to open the signature file from the File - account - mail options.  It simply does not open.  So to get around it i have created a signature file and then saved it behind the scenes in the windows appdata profile.  however this does mean i am unable to activate that signature by default so you have to turn it on each time when you create a new email message.

thanks  and i look forward to hearing from you

    janet
