Since August 30th my outlook desktop app has been using upload data at around 30 to 40mb per minute unless the app is closed or in offline mode. As I post this the app has used 8gb of data from 8am to 1pm.

    Hi Linda,

Unless there was an automatic update to windows I did not update anything. I didn't change any settings within Outlook either. I even uninstalled Office 365 and reinstalled to see if that would change something but even after that it still continues to use upload data. Below is a screen cap of the tracking software i am using. The 10gb upload is from just 8am to 1:30pm today.

Here is an update for total usage today.

    Hi John,

Thank your for the pictures you shared.

Since the cause of the problem is unclear, please let us narrow down to investigate possible issues:

#1. Sometimes Add-in’s can interrupt Outlook from accessing the data file, so try to start Outlook in safe mode to check the issue:  typing outlook /safe in the Run dialog on Windows. > Click ‘Yes’ on dialog box asking “if you want to start the application in Safe Mode”.

#2. You can use the Inbox Repair tool (SCANPST.EXE) to diagnose and repair errors in your Outlook data file. We recommend backing up your existing Outlook data file before you start the Inbox Repair tool. #3. Please share your Outlook client version for further checking, go File > Office account > Product Information.

    Thanks,

    Linda

    Hi John,

May I know what is the specific situation of uploading data? I sincerely hope you can provide some relevant screenshots with corresponding explanations for us.

And what changes did you make before this problem occurred? Such as update office, send bulk mail, any system changes.

    Thanks,

    Linda
