Outlook Android login issue

Hi, I have an issue with Outlook. I can't log in for life. I think I've tried and read everything there is. Here is what happens:

  1. I open the app and click "Add account"
  2. The app recognizes that I am already logged in on different apps so it suggests me my account. I click continue.
  3. It thinks a while and... I go back to the first screen with "Add account". No error message, no nothing, just back to the start.

So I tried different thing. I've tried to skip chosing automatic option and went for manual. There I can choose to log in using QR code. When I tried it I got an error message saying that a Network connection error occured. So again no success.

So I tried skipping this step also and trying to log in manualy. For some reason I cannot log into Office 365, cause it says that my account doesn't exist. Which I doubt for some reason.

So I tried loggin in manually to the next option - Outlook. It recognized my account again and asked for authorisation using Microsoft Authorisation. I clicked correct answer and... Connection to the server has failed.

I tried logging to Outlook through web browser on my phone - no problem, all things work perfectly.

I gave the app all the permisions, I've reinstalled it a couple of times and yes - I have working internet connection. I have latest version. I don't know what else can I do...

I just wanted my calendar :( Please help.

That part in which I doubt that I don't have an account was a slight sarcasm. I know that I have. I don't know why does it say otherwise in this specific point.

I thought that I wrote that part also but I'll write it again - I know that I can log in Outlook normally and the only problem is with the app.

You told me to uninstall and to install again the app form Play Store. That's why I wrote that I already done that several times. So we can skip that part in diagnosis. So again - I've done that and it changed nothing.

Last but not least - no, I don't have any problem with Microsoft Authenticator app.

Still, I can't log in into Outlook.

    Hi KarolŁoziński,

Thank you for choosing Microsoft community.

To verify if you have an Microsoft 365 work account, please launch an inprivate browser window and sign in Outlook on the Web (outlook.office.com).

(The inPrivate browser window (for Microsoft - Edge browser) / Incognito browser window (for Google - Chrome browser) is a browser window which will not save the browsing data (like your history, temporary internet files, and cookies). See Browse InPrivate in Microsoft Edge.)

If you can sign in Outlook on the Web normally, chances are the problem is with your Outlook for Android.

Please uninstall the Outlook app from your mobile and reinstall from Google Play or your built-in app store. Then follow the steps in Set up email in the Outlook for Android app (microsoft.com) to add your account.

If you have problem with the Microsoft Authenticator app, please check Common problems with the Microsoft Authenticator app and decide if you need to change your verification method on Additional security verification page.

For your reference: Change your two-step verification method and settings (microsoft.com)

Hope it helps! If any update, welcome to share with us.

    Thanks & Stay safe,

    Qian
