Outlook spellcheck causing delay

I have a user that is complaining or a delay in his outlook responding between clicking send on a new email and the spell check coming up. This delay is a few seconds but can compound over a day when the user is particularly active in his emails.

The version of office is the latest on a 365 subscription and the OS is Windows 10. I have repaired then reinstalled office, disabled all add-ins but the only thing that "helps" is to disable the "Always check before sending option". The client doesn't want this and is warranted in expecting it to run without this delay as this is the norm. I have tested it on my own computer which has lower spec than his and it does not have this delay.

Does anyone out there have other ideas of what might be causing this?

    Hi Zed,

I sent you a message with the requested video but have heard nothing back. The email can have nothing in it but a single randomly written series of characters and the delay is still experienced. Yet if I manually run a spell check before hitting send it comes up instantly. There must be something else happening here inbetween hitting send and the spellcheck eventually coming up.

    Regards,

    André

    Hi, Andre

According to your description, the issue of your concern is that Outlook spellcheck causing delay.

Based on the information given by the official website,

it is reasonable after you click Send if there's a long-writing which it takes seconds for checking.

Also, please have a check if turn "Spell Check" off whether it lags or not.

In addition, please send us a short video in here -Private Message for further troubleshooting.

    Regards,

    Zed
