Need some help please, I am having issues with outlook 2019, when I do receive the Emails, not able to open for about 4 minutes, the blue circle just keeps going around. And the bar at the top of the page says outlook not responding.

I did go into the file in outlook, and did a repair, but no success.

Also went into the windows apps, found windows office, and asked it to modify, no success.

And did also reinstall office 2019 no joy there .

I did also use outlook in safe mode, but do not wish to keep doing that.

Have upgraded to windows 11. I do believe that all was operating in windows 10 , but it does say not able to go back to Windows 10 if not installed in the last 10 days My install was one month ago.

All i do require is to receive Emails and to be able to open at once and not wait for minutes

trust some person is able to help as this is very annoying, ,thanking you for your assistance

Regards Ian

The only one you really need is the Exchange addin - it processes meeting requests.

But you will need VBA if you use macros.

Besides those two - OneNote is used if you want to send Outlook items to OneNote and are not using an outlook.com or Office 365 mailbox. If you use Outlook.com or office 365 mailbox, an office addin is installed and used instead of the OneNote com addin.

Outlook social connector is no longer used, skype is not used either. They can be disabled.

Do the other office apps work ok?

I think you might need to install office for your user, not for all users to avoid always using admin mode.

    One notes about outlook items

    Outlook social connector

I wonder if installing it for all users is causing problems.

    What non-Microsoft addins are installed?

You need to run Outlook in administrator mode to uncheck them.

Close Outlook. Hold Shift then right click on the outlook icon you use to open it. Choose Run as Administrator.

Or... type Outlook on the start menu, expand the options and choose Run as Administrator.

    Hello Diane

    Thank you for your reply.

    i am using POP

i did go into the add inns but not able to remove any of the items contained in there, the following box appears when I do try to remove except the Microsoft exchange.

This add inn is installed for all users on this computer and can only be removed or disconnected by the administrator.

i do have 6 items in the add inns.

    Hello ianfraser9

I'm Diane, an Office Apps & Services MVP specializing in Outlook, and I’m happy to help you today.

What type of email account do you have configured in Outlook? POP, IMAP, Outlook.com, or Microsoft Exchange?

So the speed is ok in Safe mode? That would indicate a problem with adding or supporting files. Disable all addins except the Microsoft exchange addin is file > Options > addins. Does that help?
