Local folder are empty

Hi, per https://insider.microsoft365.com/en-us/blog/local-folders-now-available-in-the-new-outlook-for-mac I have just migrated my data from old Outlook to the New Outlook look and it created the local folders but they are empty. How do I get these to contain my (decades of) old emails?

I'm on 16.74.

    Thank you for your reply and great effort on this case!

    And sorry for delay my response since I was OOF in the past few days.

    For this issue, I also had a test from my side, and the result is as same as that of yours. I've got over 10,000 items and tried to import to the New Outlook for Mac but only party of those emails have been imported. It seems a product bug for the New Outlook on Mac. We will proceed and have our engineers be aware of the this concern.

    We recommend you to revert to the legacy Outlook for Mac for the time being.

    And it crashed again at the end of the transfer, at 7758. Nothing was saved. I saved the error log.

    Thanks, Eleni. Bizarrely, they said that local folders won't work with New Outlook for Mac which conflicts with https://insider.microsoft365.com/en-us/blog/local-folders-now-available-in-the-new-outlook-for-mac

    I've read your issue descriptions carefully and your New Outlook for Mac version meets the requirement. Since you mentioned local folders are empty after the import, could you have a test and try to import a small amount of emails in a folder and see if it works?

    Also did you add Exchange or POP/IMAP account on the New Outlook for Mac?
