Hi,

I use outlook home and business 2016. As I use IPhone and synchronize my contacts in Icloud. I have made folder in outlook for icloud and see there all my contacts. But I faced with problem that when I add new contact throw my Pc (windows10) to outlook it goes not to Icloud but to my PC folder Outlook - Contacts.

How to arrange, that new contacts, written from outlook PC program, would go to icloud folder in outlook?

Thanks

Rolandas

    Hi Kevin,

It seems you understood my question not right. I do not want to move contacts in Icloud. It is already done. And even I sinchronise it through Icloud or Itunes apps. Is is working .

    My question is:

When I work in outlook program how to make that when I write NEW contact  it would go by default not to default folder Contacts, but to  my newly created folder Icloud  in oultlook.  It is just internal outlook matter.

    Thanks

Thanks for your more detailed description. When you add iCloud email to your primary account and create contacts, it doesn't go to the default folder, it goes to the newly created folder in iCloud email. The first email account configured will have it's data file set as the "default data file" which is where the defaulist contact/calendar folders will be stored. It looks like it changes your default contacts folder. I would like to ask what your Outlook version is and what your protocol for configuring iCloud is.

    Hello Rolandas,

Welcome to Microsoft Community and appreciate your time taken for sharing detailed information. I understand that you want to move contacts written in Outlook to iCloud. I could share with you some of my thoughts on this issue.

In our tests, that did happen. Outlook wasn't given the right to do that. iCloud does not allow Outlook for PC contacts to be included in its contacts list. You could feedback on that, and expect iCloud to do that in the future. So it's best to write your contacts in iCloud.

Free to post back if you need any further assistance. ^.^
