I use a hurricane program for hurricane season: (Great program). When a storm is coming near I am able to send emails to friends on what to expect, program provides wind, rain, and other important information. Been using it for years.

This year I switch to my outlook office 365 email.

  1. At first it was block got a message from Microsoft said thought it was spam. I had sent about 20 emails to individuals one at a time checking to make sure email sending to is still working and not to consider it as span since I changed emails. Microsoft then block it later in the day, I replied to message it was not spam.
  2. Now when trying to email get this error message: Mail send error sending to .........@outlook.com Access denied to mail server. 52.96.104.50. Error Code. 20162 SMTP protocol error. 535 5.7.139 Authentication unsuccessful, the user credentials were incorrect. (BNOPRO3CA0059.namprd03.prod.outlook.com) Any help would be appreciated.. John

Hi John, my name is Neil, and I'm an Outlook user like you.

Sorry you are receiving these error codes.

In this particular instance, if you are sure your Outlook account details are correct, try contacting Outlook support.

From within the Outlook App, click on the "Help" tab.

    Then click on "Contact Support".

A side bar will open up on the right hand side, where you can describe your problem and even include a screenshot of the current screen (probably best to get the error up on screen first if you can). Click the "Submit" button to send your support request and someone from Outlook Support will contact you to help resolve the issue.

    I hope this helps.

    Kindest regards,

    Neil
