Microsoft authenticator first login

Hello

I want to activate two step auth. for the first time. I downloaded the app Microsoft Auth. and as the first thing, it gives me a warning “do you have a backup? If you add an account, you will no longer be able to recover from backup.”

Backup of what?

Recover exactly what?

What is the meaning of this warning? What are the consequences?

Thanks

It's a backup of Authenticator app + its content (accounts in the Auth app). Since this is the first time you use MS Auth app, tap No on the question. You can't have a backup if you've never used the app. There are no consequences by answering No.
