I frequently get this on my android phone. I have to go into the account and reset it which usually clears the issue. What else can I do, as this is a bit of a pain!

    This could be related to a known bug that affects IMAP accounts. In order to investigate this further, I would recommend contacting the in-app support for Outlook mobile.

    In your Outlook mobile settings page, select Help & feedback > Contact Support and fill in the required details.

    You will receive an in-app message from them shortly.

    Hi thank you for your reply. This is using the app, yes it is IMAP and yes removed and added again!

    May I ask if you are using the Outlook mobile app or just the native email app? Is it an IMAP account?

    Have you tried removing and re-adding the account?
