Can someone please tell me how I can send the same email to multiple recipients without the email being blocked as spam. In my case I want to send the club night results from our Bridge Club to less than one hundred recipients and it is being blocked. Is there a way around this?

    Thanks for replying back, RexGatenby1.

Based on the information you provided it seems you're hitting the Sending limits in Outlook.com.

At this point, please go complete the verification process in the email you got and see if tat solves this issue for you.

    Warm regards,

    Glenn

    Hi Glenn,

Thank you for your reply. And yes, I would be pleased to have your assistance.

My answers to your numbered questions.

    1. The emails are generated by 'Compass', a Bridge Scoring program. The emails contain the results of club night play including session and ladder results and are sent to all members of our club. All members email addresses are in an address book within 'Compass'. 'Compass' sends the email to 'Compassmail' for distribution using 'Outlook.com'.
    2. The account is *****@outlook.com
    3. I attempted to send the email to 41 email recipients last Tuesday evening and the entire email was blocked. I tried sending on two different laptops, the clubs using 'Outlook.com' and my own using the same email account but which has a paid Windows 365 subscription. Both were rejected as spam.
    4. Up until now we have been using a Gmail account. However, there are apparently some changes pending' in the Gmail account which will prevent the sending of emails from a third party app. such as 'Compass'. So the developer of 'Compass' has changed the program so that emails would be sent using 'Outlook'. In other words, our association with Outlook is new but cannot continue if we can't get over the blocking problem,

Subject: Verify your account to do more with Outlook.com

    Hello Rex Gatenby,

We limit the number of recipients for an email message to help free the world from spammers. We're sorry that it's getting in your way.

What do you need to do?

To send your mail, please remove some recipients. You may be able to increase the limit by verifying your account.

Verifying your account helps you enjoy Outlook.com with fewer interruptions and limitations.

    Thanks,
    The Outlook.com Team

I have verified my account as suggested but have not yet trialed it to see whether the blocking problem has been overcome.

I would be pleased to have any help you may be able to offer.

    Regards,

    Rex.

EDIT: Removed personally identifiable information (PII).

    Good morning, RexGatenby!

Thanks for reaching out to our Microsoft Community Forum and please accept our sincerest hope that all is well.

We understand that your emails are blocked as spam when sending to multiple recipients at the same time.

When emails are blocked as spam can be caused by a multitude of factors. One possibility is that the email contains keywords or phrases that might be blacklisted as part of a spam email. It's also possible that by sending it to multiple recipients instead of using a contact group can also trigger the blocking of emails.

At any rate, let us work together as a team to get to the bottom of this issue of yours. However, on order for us to better assist you I need to ask:

    1. What are you using to send e-mails? Are you using an e-mail client or application like Outlook or are you just using your favorite web browser?
    2. What email account added to Outlook are you having this sending issue with? You don't have to tell me the actual email account. I just need to know if it's @Outlook.com or @Gmail.com or @Yahoo.com or something else.
    3. Are you getting blocked when sending to particular set of recipients?
    4. How long have you had this issue? Days? Weeks? Months?
    5. When you are emails re blocked as spam you usually get a bounce message, which is a notification that is automatically sent to the sender if an email is not delivered to the recipient for various reasons. So can you provide us this bounce message with the sensitive bits removed?

We look forward to your response.

    Sincerely,

    Glenn Rue
