Encrypted email options

I have a DoD Common Access Card for accessing NMCI outlook webmail. I also have a third-party PKI USB with a digital signature and encryption cert for digitally signing and encrypting my company email. I have both plugged in at the same time because I use both at the same time. However, when I send an email from my company email address it is using the certificates from my CAC, which is a different email address. I have changed the settings in the Trust Center settings (email security) and have cleared the boxes to use my CAC certs as default. However, whenever I pull my CAC and put it back the settings seem to reset.

Is there a way for Outlook to stop pulling my CAC certs?
