The way microsoft posts ads directly on my email is disgusting, especially hounding us to buy microsoft 365. I am 76 yrs old, dont' need it and I will never purchase that so please get it off my email or inform me how to do it. It is so annoying & communistic to do something of this nature and fixed in a manner where no one can delete it. If It remains, then I will surely close this account & go with others. Thank you. The question mark is used to launch Help

For example, if you wanted to contact Outlook.com support, that would be done by

logging into your Outlook.com account and click on the ? (top right)

    #1 - Enter your question

#2 - When the results are returned, scroll down to the end of the returned results and click on <Yes> under the question "Still need help?"

    #3 - Proceed accordingly

Thanks for the info. BTW, do you know what happened to the "Help" icon that used to be in the top right corner?

    Hello DanielNelson2

Hi, I'm Karl and will be happy to help you today.

First, just so there is no misunderstanding, this is a public user-to-user support forum. We're users just like you helping other users. We do not work for Microsoft and have no access to any user account so there is nothing we can do or check from within the forum. We have no input on Microsoft's policies, procedures, or design decisions.

You are not the first person to express their displeasure with this new experiment in delivery ads (at least I think it is still an experiment but have no way of knowing for sure)..

Unfortunately, there is no way to turn these ads off other then upgrading the account to a <Premium> ad-free Outlook.com account available only with a Microsoft 365 subscription. You can mitigate the impact by turning on the <Focused Inbox> (if you have not done so already). These ads that appear like email messages will be shown under the <Other> mailbox.

To turn on the <Focused Inboc>

#1 - Click on the <Gear> (Settings) icon - top right

#2 - scroll down to enable the <Focused Inbox> as shown in the attached screenshot
