Using older versions of Outlook for Mac for personal email and calendar
Dear lydia bennett,
Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.
According to issue symptom of “Mail delivery failed”, it seems to be non-delivery report or bounced back message, I recommend that you may kindly help your mother check bellow settings on her mailbox:
- Please check if there’s any Inbox rule that involves redirecting and forwarding emails.
- You could check forward setting on Outlook Web App ( https://outlook.office.com/mail/ ) for Microsoft 365 account, or mail web version for other types of accounts.
- Please kindly check if these emails are non-delivery report: Email non-delivery reports in Exchange Online.
- May I know if this account has been signed up other third-party services?
In additional, since the account is a corporate account, which means it’s managed by organization, therefore, I recommend you keep in touch with organization admin to help check if there’s related org-wide configuration on this account. For instance, in Microsoft 365 Exchange online, admin can set up mail flow rule to auto-forward or redirect emails. In Microsoft 365 environment, admin can also help trace receiving and sending emails via Message Trace in Exchange Online admin center:
Besides, admin can also check if account is compromised and respond to it: Responding to a Compromised Email Account
To further know issue symptom, you could share one screenshot of that message (Mail Delivery Failed message) with me in Private Message for checking. To protect your privacy, we recommend you remove personal information such as full name, addresses, phone numbers and so on in advance.
If there’s any update, welcome back and feel free to share with us. We look forward to your reply.
Sincerely,
