Conditional Access Policy - Device State (Preview) - Support Status

Hi,

We wish to use the "Device State (Preview)" feature and exclude certain policies applying to hybrid-join machines. The settings look pretty straightforward but we are concerned by the fact that it is apparently still in preview (even though several MS blogs / articles refer to using this).

From these articles / other blogs, it looks as though it has been in preview for over 3 years. Is this fully supported? Are people using this generally in live? Or, when will it be released as fully supported?

As far as I can see, the options are limited for hybrid-joined machines unless you use this feature (don't think that the setting under Access: Grant gives you much as you can't use it as a condition just as enforcement after login).

Hi @sep1664 , I reached out to the content author to address your concerns. However, a lot of features that have been in preview for this long are fully operational and have been used in production projects. The way Microsoft classifies things varies on different teams and products. I personally would not hesitate to use this in my project, but I want to get you more information so you can better access your decision.

Hi James, thanks very much for replying.

It certainly feels as though that is the case with Device State though when we have several thousand users to migrate over and would rely on this heavily, it does make one a little nervous. Any additional feedback would be much appreciated.
