Dear Customer Support,

I recently purchased a MacBook Air and the "show reply" button does not show on my Mac Desktop when I reply to my messages from the laptop.

When I reply from the desktop, this is what I see:

Both the old and new Outlook will display conversations the same way - Select the conversation and it expands to show you all of the messages in the conversation.

The new Outlook doesn't have the show reply button, but you don't need it in conversation view.

    Hi Diane,

Thank you for your quick reply.

Perhaps on my desktop, I am. This is what I see when I go to View - Show Conversation is already selected and I do not see all the options that I see on the Mac. I think I would have to use the New Outlook for this to work, correct?

    Hello Cris

I'm Diane, an Office Apps & Services MVP specializing in Outlook, and I’m happy to help you today.

Are you using the "legacy" outlook enabled on both? (The menus look like the legacy outlook screens.)

What type of email account do you have configured in Outlook? POP, IMAP, Outlook.com, or Microsoft Exchange?

If you are using the new outlook, go to View menu and enable Show as conversations. This will display all messages in the conversation together rather than opening a new message for each reply.
