How do I stop Outlook from adding a hyperlink on addresses typed in an email upon sending it? I've already stopped hyperlinks from being added upon typing, but that did not work.

Outlook | Windows | Classic Outlook for Windows | For home

Thank you but I need to clarify it's not an email address, it's a physical address and Outlook is adding a link to a Bing map. It happens automatically upon sending the email.

Even when I highlight just the address part of the text and select Plain Text as you showed, it changes the entire email's text, which is not what I want.

    Any more ideas?!

    Hi LRBBraun,

    Greetings.

Thank you for raising your concern in this community.

From what I know, this is not an issue. It is by design when typing an email in HTLM form

To remove the hyperlink, you should select the email address and choose Plain text.

Normally it should not be an issue even for your recipients as they can just select, copy /past.

If you need further information from my side please feel free to let me. And assuming that this was not what you meant, it will be helpful if you could share a screenshot.

    Kind regards,

    Mac
