calendar reminders doubling

With POP not being used anymore I had to change my outlook email address to Exchange. My calendar on my Outlook was dropped into my Office 365 account online. Now when I get a reminder from my calendar I get it twice. I am not using my calendar anywhere else besides my desktop. How do I stop my desktop calendar from syncing with the exchange calendar?

I did all you suggested and I was still getting duplicate reminders. Since my original calendar was setup in a PST file when I had POP settings the only way I could get it to stop sending duplicate reminders was to delete my calendar information on my Office 365 on line and use the calendar I have had setup for years in my PST file. If you can think of any other way around this I would appreciated any advice.

    Thank you for your help

Before I try all of this is there anyway to have my calendar stop syncing with the one in my office 365 account on the internet?

I only use my calendar at work on my desktop.

    Dear Barbara Layden,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you!

Going on the asumption that you don't actually have 2 appointments or the pst in your profile twice, then its probably a corrupt reminder folder.

Press Windows key + R to open the Run dialog. type
    outlook /cleanreminders

in the field and press Ok.

Make sure you have a space between Outlook and the slash.

In addition, please also kindly try to login OWA(outlook web app) to check the result.

At the same time, please kindly try to Remove or delete an email account from Outlook and then Add an email account to Outlook

If your problem persists, please give me feedback on the results you have tried. And then I also would like to collect more information to narrow down the scope of problem:

If you get some error information or error code, please share screenshot with me.

    What's your type of subscription?

If you change a device to log in to the Outlook client with your account will you encounter the same situation?

Thanks in advance for your understanding! Your patience and cooperation will be highly appreciated. Hope you all the best!

    Sincerely,

Kerry Chen | Microsoft Community Moderator

If you added the exchange mail account to MS Outlook desktop that Ex Callendar will be available

Have you removed the pop mail account?
