Weblinks in Outlook Open to Bing/Edge Instead of Chrome

Dear Microsoft,

When clicking on a hyperlink in an email read from Outlook, the link would open to the system's default browser, in my case, Chrome. After a recent update to Windows, I was prompted upon clicking a link to have the link open in Bing. After figuring out I don't like this, I am now unable to reset the system to allow for me to able to click the link and have it open in Chrome despite me having made Chrome my default browser.

I believe you have done this to make this intentionally complex and I am worried you dont even have a solution to this issue. This has caused my daily work flow to be less efficient and its absolutely aggravating that you have to be a high level Microsoft coder to make this work.

Please advise as to whether or not there is a simple resolution to this and please do not tell me to reset my default browser to Chrome. I assure you, that has already been done.

Thanks,

Eddie

    Dear Libeamlak,

Thank you so much for this thoughtful quick response. By navigating to "File-Options-Advanced" then selecting "default browser" I was able to resolve the issue.

Thanks so much for providing me this helpful information and doing so in such an expeditious way. I apologize for getting upset in my initial correspondence, I had just been short of patience at that point.

    Thanks again,

    Eddie

    Libeamlak,

This is easily the best answer from any moderator on this forum.

Good screen shot, concise directions, and no rant to use Edge.

No follow ups except for positive responses, so rare!

My passwords are saved on Chrome and opening in the wrong browser was slowing me down.

    Thank you,

    Tom
