Using classic Outlook for Windows in business environments
Thanks for the update! I have no idea why it would be blocking outlook connecting to gmail web address.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Had to reimage this computer and reinstall everything from scratch. Setup 2 MS based email accounts in Outlook without issues. Attempted to setup my Gmail account and had the following error. It works fine on my notebook computer that did not get reimaged. When I enter my Gmail address, it goes to the next screen, says Click Next, then this pops up. Not sure if it's a Google or Outlook problem.
Also tried manual setup, same thing happened. Checked my Gmail settings just in case, all good, and this account works on my notebook computer just fine.
When I type in the web address below manually into Chrome or Edge, it works fine and goes to the next screen, which is password.
This isn't editable, it's automatic, so even if it was wrong I couldn't change it.
Any ideas?
Thanks

I'm not going to even attempt to explain this, but apparently the issue was related to my internal ethernet adapter.
By chance, I happened to unplug the wired connection and it defaulted to wifi.
When I tried signing it, it worked as expected.
Appreciate the help though.
Thanks
Chris
Are you using the default settings in Edge?
If you create a new profile and add the gmail account first (or only account), does it connect?
Hi Diane and thanks for answering.
To answer your questions:
Microsoft® Outlook® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2204 Build 16.0.15128.20158) 64-bit
Did a forced update just now and it updated to this:
Microsoft® Outlook® for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2204 Build 16.0.15128.20210) 64-bit
Did not fix the issue.

I think its an outlook problem.
Do you use a VPN? (Turn if off and see if outlook can connect.)
In File > Office Account, click the Manage Settings button (under Account Privacy) - is connected experiences enabled?
Which version and build of Outlook are you using? See File, Office Account for the information.
