Multiple Delegates with Editor Permissions Not Able to See Color Categories from Owner's Calendar

Hi Community,

A manager has given 2 users editor level delegate access on their calendar. The manager started implementing Color Categories & the users with editor level delegate access are not able to view the color categories on both the desktop version and the Office 365 (portal.office.com) version of Outlook. Since this is impacting multiple delegates, I'm assuming that the issue would like with the manager's color categorization setup, but I'm not clear what that issue would be since they both have editor level permissions. Do you have any insight on something we can check/try or is this something we should open an MS ticket about?

    Hi Tommy,

If I'm understanding you correctly, no one but the owner of the calendar can utilize color categories? Are there any known workarounds to view the colors or must the editor delegates just go off of the categories themselves? For example, would creating a shared mailbox between the manager and the delegates allow all of them to view the color categories?

    Thanks.

    Hello Sir,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

According to your descriptions, seems you would like to make multiple delegates with editor permissions users can see the color categories from owner's calendar. Regarding this point, we have reproduced your situation successfully. As a test result, EDITOR, as a delegation permission not available to view the colorize categories from owners. Nevertheless, it is possible to know these events and messages are categorized. However, infeasible to see the color change.

    Kind Regards,

    Tommy
