Authentication requests from same IP multiple times a day.

For months now, the same IP keeps trying to log in, every attempt from all other countries are unsuccessful and don't go through for authentication, but this specific one comes at least 3 times a day and the Microsoft authentication app prompts me for authentication, which I of course don't grant. I've changed my passwords, I have a highly secure one, no repeat ones and I've changed all of them multiple times, on every account I have. I don't log into any public services, I don't save my passwords anywhere (including in browser). It's becoming very frustrating being bombarded with requests, what can I do? T
Are they guessing my password? Is there any other reasons as to why I would get an authenticate request? Such as too many log in attempts? (Or are they actually getting through my password)

Is there a Is this why they get through to the app for authentication? If so why does it keep happening? It's becoming so frustrating getting pop ups multiple times a day. Always the same IP. Again, they clearly aren't getting through but it's worrisome.

I've heard suggestion to create an alias. Set the alias as primary sign-in account and disallow your current account (or the email address that is under attack) from signing in.

    note

I have not done that myself because I don't have the need for it.

Thank you, this is far more helpful than the answer above. I have two factor and I have a highly secure password. It's up to 3 or 4 an hour on and off now. It's driving me insane, and yes I am worried I will mistakenly click and allow them access. Especially since it tends to pop up when I'm texting and such. is there really nothing that can be done to avoid such mistakes?

They're wearing you down by annoying you with the non stop requests. They're hoping that you'd mistakenly allow them to get in. It's only a matter of time before you make a mistake. There isn't anything you can do to stop them from annoying you. Look up "mfa fatigue".

Hello! My name is Mostafa; I will assist you today.

I’m sorry you are experiencing this issue; Temporarily disable if you have any VPN on your devices.

Use a strong and unique password for your account. (!@#$%^&*) Also, please use the two-step verification to add an extra layer of security to your account. Two-step verification helps protect you by making it more difficult for someone else to sign in to your Microsoft account.

How to use two-step verification with your Microsoft account

Please check the sign-in of your account to confirm if there are any unknown locations than yours:
