Hello,

I created my account a long time ago using the address @live.com. I want to change it so that it now says @outlook .com. I did some googling and found answers from 2012 which said it was possible. The link is here:

Upgrade from Hotmail to Outlook.com | Microsoft 365 Blog

The answers point to the setting "Rename your email address" but I can't find this. How do i change it now?

Thanks

Hi Varun! This is Raech. I'm an Outlook.com user like you and I'm happy to help.

You can use the Alias feature to set up a new email address whilst keeping the same account. For the exact instructions, kindly visit the link below.

As a precaution, if you opt to delete or remove the old Live.com alias, make sure to think this through thoroughly as this action is both permanent and immediate.

Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Kind regards.
