Reminders Gone

I have a user on Outlook 2016 whos workstyle involves creating hundreds of re-occurring and non re-occurring reminders.

How these reminders are created:

User drags email into calendar and sets the reminder date and sometimes frequency.

Once the reminder pops up, this user clicks snooze or dismiss depending on the reminder. As I mentioned, this user has hundreds of reminders that are no longer showing.

We did (1 year ago) migrate from on-prem to O365, not sure if that could effect the missing reminders.

We have searched deleted items, added a column to show reminders, but I have not found a way to simply search for Outlook items that have been dismissed or snoozed. With the amount of reminders, we can't simply recover all deleted items and we are unable to remember every single one.

These reminders are business critical to this user, so any help is appreciated.

    Dear Jshannon713,

Good day! Thanks for posting to Microsoft Community.

As per your description, I understand that you have concerns about reminder in Outlook 2016.

May l know if you have enabled Automatically dismiss reminders for past events as shown in below image? If you have selected this option, Outlook will automatically dismiss reminders for past events. For example, if you're out of office for three days, next time you come back and will not see reminders for the meetings that took place while you were gone. You can check it from File > Options > Advanced >Reminders

If you mean reminders button in Outlook do not appear Reminders in Outlook do not appear - Outlook | Microsoft Learn, here are steps to enable it:

Furthermore, if you have already checked above method and problem persists, please kindly provide more detailed information for us to narrow down the issue, such as the screenshot of recurring meeting or how long before the appointment or meeting you want to get a reminder.

Thanks for your understanding and cooperation. We will keep tracking this thread and give more feasible solutions. Wish you a healthy and happy new year!

    Sincerely,

    Tammy | Microsoft Community Moderator.
