I want to change delegate access but do not want them to receive a notification the access has changed. Is it possible to remove these notifications? Thank you!

The message:

Here's what changed:

Jane Doe has changed the sharing permission for an Outlook calendar shared with you.

You'll now be able to see times when Jane Doe is free or busy.

    Hi Diane,

Thank you for the information. I probably didn’t ask the question correctly.

For permissions within a shared calendar, I’d like to prevent the change notification to the recipient when I change the permission level from view all details to view when I’m busy.

Is that possible? I am using Outlook desktop software.

I will double check - but as far as I know, no, you can't disable it when you make changes there. The admin might be able to change it at the server level, but it would apply to all users.

    Hello Tricia

Are you using Outlook on the web or Outlook desktop software?

When you change it in Outlook on the web, you can't avoid sending a notification.

In Outlook desktop: If you use File > account Settings > Delegation, you change the permissions, you have the option to send a message - at the bottom of the sharing dialog - "Automatically send a message to delegate summarizing these permissions" Uncheck it.
