When ever on my surface pro using outlook I have this issue (works okay with a docked monitor). I am trying to read my emails and click the drop down arrow toggle to see the history but instead it keep toggleing the overlapping read/unread messages toggle. Is there a way to fix this or is this just a glitch we will have to wait for Microsoft to resolve at some point? Anyone else having this issue?

    Dear Mehul_Brookfield,

Thanks for posting in Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, I understand that once you try to read my emails and click the drop-down arrow toggle to see the history it keep toggling the overlapping read/unread messages toggle. Before moving forward, we need more detailed information about the situation you are experiencing.

Kindly share with us the information below:

    1. Have you tried to check and uncheck the "Show as Conversations" under view menu to see if there is any change?
    2. What version of Outlook are you using?

In the meantime, this might be a result of the way Mail in Outlook is grouped by Conversation Thread. When you click on an e-mail that already has responses attached to it, an arrow will appear to allow you to easily access all the associated messages. And considering that you have validated that it functions properly on the docked monitor, it seems as if the only issue might be with the resolution.

We look forward to your response. Thanks for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

De Paul | Microsoft Community Moderator
