Our situation is such that we produce larger amounts of data on clients, which are also stored on them. The task now is for these clients to also synchronize this measurement data on the server at night.

This should be done in various methods such as incremental, differential or complete. I had tried Acronis for this. However, this then creates a packed .tip file in the target directory, which takes forever to open due to its size.

These files cannot be searched for this purpose (.json file with metadata). Does anyone have a usable solution for it? :)

best regards

Microsoft has combined Tech Net & MSDN together, most later links do not exist.

    Hi,

Thanks for posting on our forum!

Based on your description, I need to identify your environment firstly:

    1. What kind of environment do you have? I notice that your tag is "Hyper-V", so does this file share synchronization happen in a Hyper-V environment? I would appreciate it if you could offer me more details about your production environmnet, how you conducted the synchronization, through replication?

    2) "Our situation is such that we produce larger amounts of data on clients, which are also stored on them. The task now is for these clients to also synchronize this measurement data on the server at night."
——What do you mean "produce larger amounts of data on clients, which are also stored on them"? If the data have already stored on your clients' VMs, why do you need to do synchronization? I guess it is because that each client has their own data stored on their own servers, and you want to synchronize them all, to let every client get one copy of all data produced on all clients. Please let me know if my speculation is correct.

    3) "creates a packed .tip file in the target directory, which takes forever to open due to its size."
——Have checked whether each client has enough storage space on their own server?

    Thanks for your support!

    BR,
    Joan
