I have a rule that marks incoming messages with a specific word as read but am wondering if there's a way to also mark the other messages in that conversation as read.

Outlook | Windows | Classic Outlook for Windows | For home

    Dear DylanHAD,

Good day! Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. We’re happy to help you!

Per your description, we know that you’re like to 1> create one Outlook Inbox Rule which marks incoming messages with a specific word as read and 2> marks other messages in the same conversation as read (by Inbox rules or other methods). As we know, Outlook Inbox Rules use variable conditions to filter incoming messages and take correspond actions. However, we further checked and confirmed that one rule can’t cover all scenarios particularly in your situation. One the one hand, Outlook doesn’t provide similar conditions, on the other hand, there seems no other feature available in Outlook that can achieve the second request. If you don’t mind, we recommend you consider creating multiple rules, with conditions such as: mark messages with specific subject as read.

We totally understand it’s important to you to achieve both requests and highly suggest you submit feedback in Microsoft Feedback Portal: https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/forum/89a8afa3-2e1c-ec11-b6e7-0022481f8472. We appreciate your idea and believe your valuable idea can help our dedicated team better improving the product.

    Sincerely,
