Outlook threads get broken ?

This question has been asked before but there are no real answers that I can find out there anywhere ..

So the problem is that some emails mainly responses from the person that I am emailing gets broken out of the thread somehow and starts to display all by itself.

All new emails received start to be displayed in the new chain instead of the old one ....

As long as the subject line is not changed outlook is supposed to continue to display everything responded back and forth to in that chain .. that's the whole purpose of conversation view it's not supposed to create a new conversation randomly.

I have noticed that this mainly starts to happen when people respond from their mobile devices !!

So perhaps some of the HTML code or the header data gets modified and then outlook doesn't know that it's supposed to keep it in the conversation ??

Is there a way to manually modify the header data to put it back in the group ??

It's absolutely infuriating ....😒

    Hi SkyePerez,

Thank you for posting your issue on Microsoft Community forum. Yes, you are right conversation includes all messages in the same thread with the same subject line, Outlook shouldn't create a new conversation randomly for the same subject.

Which type of email account (e.g. Exchange Online/IMAP) and Outlook 365 version are you using, please provide us with the detailed version, see About Office: What version of Office am I using?

Does this issue happen with any other users in your organization?

However, I have searched but haven't found any way to manually modify the header data to put it back in the email conversation.

Moreover, please provide us with the detailed screenshot about the issue via the Private Message for further analysis.

Your patience and cooperation are highly appreciated.

    Best regards,

    Shyamal
