Using classic Outlook for Windows in business environments
Hello
I’m Adeyemi and I’d be happy to help you with your question.
Here are some possible solutions to these issues:
- Accessing shared contacts when composing a new email: When your colleagues start a new email and click the "To" button, they should be able to access the shared contacts by selecting the appropriate address book from the drop-down menu. If the shared contacts folder is not appearing in the drop-down menu, your colleagues may need to add it manually. They can do this by right-clicking on the shared contacts folder in Outlook, selecting Properties, and then going to the Outlook Address Book tab. From there, they can check the box next to "Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book" and click OK.
- Syncing shared contacts to mobile devices: Unfortunately, it is not currently possible to sync shared contacts folders from Outlook to mobile devices using the native Outlook app. However, there are some third-party apps available that may allow you to sync shared contacts to your mobile device. You could try searching for an app that meets your needs and is compatible with your device.
I hope these suggestions help you and your colleagues access and use your shared contacts more effectively.
