Recall a message does not work

Hello all,

We seem to have a problem on our recall functionality. Everytime we try to do the recall it does not work. We have done a trace of the messages and even the recall seems to be completed correctly

We have an on premises Exchange server and cloud one. We are not 100% sure if it goes trough the on premises and it stopes there for some reason.

Any help would be much apreciated

    Thanks for posting in Microsoft Community.

    I understand about your question. Before moving forward, I would like to draw your attention here there are many key Reasons why Outlook Recall may Fail to Work such as : Recall can only work if you are using Microsoft Office Exchange and the recipient is as well.  If you are using a browser there is no way to recall an email. OR The original message must arrive in the Inbox folder of the recipient. If it gets moved by an Outlook Rule to a different folder automatically, then the Recall will not work.

    The success or failure of a message recall depends on the recipients' settings in Outlook , I would like share official article for complete information here : Recall or replace an email message that you sent
