To better assist you on this and just to clarify, how exactly were those assets deleted? Were those deleted from the storage side, but not deleted from VI/AMS?
Yes, you can always delete your video and audio files as well as any metadata and insights extracted from them by Video Analyzer for Media. Once you delete a file from Video Analyzer for Media, the file and its metadata and insights are permanently removed from Video Analyzer for Media. However, if you have implemented your own backup solution in Azure storage, the file remains in your Azure storage.
Typically, there could be many reasons why a job can fail. Ensure the video meets all of the considerations and limitations doc - Upload and index videos with Azure Video Analyzer for Media.
