Slow processing when reading and receiving e-mails

What can I do about delayed response time for displaying and sending e-mails? I have never encountered clicking on a message to read it and it showing all clear lines, and then a delay before showing the text. But it is taking many seconds to display. When I send an e-mail, there is a tab that shows up that says Sending E-mail with a circle that goes around until it eventually sends. Usually, these basic steps of sending and reading e-mails is almost instantaneous. I am in same location with same wi-fi as usual. I have powered everything down and back on. I am using Firefox.

Can you tell us your computer specs and broadband speed (both down and up)? Did you try to use other browsers like Chrome, Edge?

    Dear Q - slow working,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you!

Based on your description, this phenomenon seems a little strange about your question. I also need to confirm to you whether you are using Outlook for Mac or OWA (Outlook Web App).

You seem to be using OWA (Outlook Web App). If that's the case, since you are using OWA (Outlook web app), please try to clean the cache of the browser you are using first, and if there is still a problem then please try switching between other browsers and log in to OWA (Outlook web app) in the privacy mode of the other browser (incognito mode) to check the results.

If you are also using Outlook for Mac, please try sending and receiving emails with Outlook Desktop Client to check if the same error occurs.

In addition, since you have changed the network environment but the problem persists, please try using another device (such as another computer or mobile Outlook web version) to check the results.

I look forward to your feedback on all the above tried results, which is very important thank you.

Thanks in advance for your understanding! Your patience and cooperation will be highly appreciated. Hope you all the best!

    Sincerely,

Kerry Chen | Microsoft Community Moderator
