Using older versions of Outlook for Mac in business environments
thank you, Ben. I think it was their server. It's working again.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I just cleared my cache and history and directly after, was unable to log into outlook via browser.
I switched from Chrome to Firefox and the same issue continued. I've found previous similar questions in this forum, but couldn't draw anything useful from them.
Can someone please explain why this is happening and what I can do to correct it?
The account I'm trying to log into is not associated with any organization - it's a personal email account.
I've copied the error msg below.

Yes, several hours later, I was able to log in as well - this must have been on Microsoft's end. Thanks for confirming.
And thanks for the response, Ben. It's much appreciated!
Hi! My name is Ben a fellow member here in the community and hope you are doing well!
Note: I am just a fellow member here in the community and not affiliated with Microsoft.
With regards to this error message, I am seeing other post similar to this so I am not sure if this is a known issue but there seems to be many users affected posting this same error. Right now, the one posted on the page here https://portal.office.com/ServiceStatus is for a different issue.
While waiting, I suggest to try using a different browser to access the https://outlook.live.com/mail website if you are accessing it via webmail. If you are somehow connected to a VPN, try using a regular internet connection or a different connection if possible to test whether you will be able to access the page. Also, kindly check if the time and region on your device is correct, for me it seems to be working so I am not sure if it is for some users only.
I hope this works for you somehow. Feel free to post back here in the community if there are still problems and we will see what we can do to assist.
Kind regards,
Ben
