Outlook Email flags?

At my work I can right click an email in outlook and choose various kinds or reminder flags; like reminder Today, Tomorrow, etc, or choose add Reminder. It is very handy to right click and add reminders to emails you want to follow up

However I cannot do this in my outlook at home. I basically want to set a flag in my email to remind me on a certain date to do something. However in my outlook I only have the option to flag the message when I right click the flag.

How do I activate the above reminder flag action?

Thats because you are using an IMAP type mail account on your home PC, and IMAP doesn't support reminders and various other things.

For full functionality you need an exchange mail account (eg the free outlook.com mail account)

    thanks so much.
I have changed my account to POP in stead of IMAP and have the flags now. Super !

I wonder if you can help me a bit further. I used to have it so I can read email on my phone when I am out and about. However once I download them in outlook on my pc they used to auto delete from my phone as they are now on my pc and do not need them on my phone. How do I get this setting? I tried delete from server on my pc outlook but it does not auto delete on my phone anymore?

Greetings, MJTh0! My name is Arif, and I have been a long-time Microsoft user as well as an Independent Advisor. I'm sorry you're having this problem, and I hope I may be of assistance in finding a workable solution.

    Please take the following actions:

    1. Could you please confirm at work what version Outlook application you are using?
    2. If you are using the same Outlook app version at home kindly make sure to try creating a new outlook profile and use the same account and check if the reminder flag shows please.

Below steps for Outlook new profile:

    1. Close Outlook.
    2. Open Control Panel and find the Mail applet. If you use the Category view in Windows's Control Panel, look for the Mail applet in the User Accounts category, or type Mail in the Search field
    3. Select the Show Profiles button. (Email Account and Data Files buttons open the Account Settings dialog for the default profile.)
    4. Click the Add button to make a new profile. Do not Copy your existing profile when you are creating a profile for troubleshooting purposes.
    5. Follow the wizard to add an account to your new profile.

Please refer to the below link for reminder flag in Outlook app:

If the steps outlined above work for you, kindly let me know. If not, please feel free to respond to my chat.

    Warm Regards,

    Arif
