hello,

Recently my friend had a hacker get access to their outlook email. They added a secondary email to change the password. I was able to reset the password and start the process to remove the secondary email but it is taking up to 72 hrs. I spoke with a chat support and got an email from mscsupport10@microsoft.com is this a legit email? I’m worried that the hacker will try to change the password and block us out

Please advise

As long as you went through the chat system at microsoft.com, it should be a valid address - I'm not familiar with it and will see if when I can find out.

The message header should have information if it was not sent from Microsoft servers.

    Hello Christopher,

I'm Diane, a Microsoft 365 Apps & Services MVP and I'll try to help you today.

The forum software removed the address so I can't say for sure- you can repost it with spaces before and after the @ sign.
