Hi,

I have outlook.com and today i noticed in lower left region of my outlook.com screen it mentioned or indicated something like i am near a 5GB limit. When i click on it i see that i am using 1.4GB of my 5GB one drive but its saying that my email and one drive together must be less than or equal to 5GB..............what gives? thoughts?

Changes to Microsoft 365 email features and storage https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/changes-to-microsoft-365-email-features-and-storage-e888d746-61e5-49e3-9bd1-94b88e9be988

    Changes to cloud storage

Starting February 1, 2023, cloud storage used across Microsoft 365 apps and services will include Outlook.com attachments data and OneDrive data.

It's their new retarded policy. Outlook attachments total size now counts towards Microsoft Storage 5 GB limit. It's likely an attempt to push free users to pay for subscription, delete email+attachments or leave. Greed is what it is.

I wonder if its all the email companies that are doing this or is it just Microsoft.

How, can they do this when this wasnt something they required before? I just dont get how they can do this.......its kinda like a really long bait and switch type thing.

I am supposed to have 15GB of email storage so i dont understand why my "Outlook (Attachments)" are part of the 4.6GB of storage on one drive.

That is their new policy starting in February 2023. Outlook attachments total size now counts towards Microsoft Storage which has lower limit. I see a lot of posts asking the same question. It is very confusing.
