Optus/Outlook Sync issue

My husband's Optus webmail and Outlook inbox isn't syncing - outbox is. I've checked settings and the test works but mail won't come through. My Optus mail syncs properly on the same system. Can you help please I can't find the problem. when I ask it to Send/Recieve it doesn't give an error message just grinds away trying to do the job.

    Hello Kathy

    How is the account added to Outlook - as a POP or IMAP account? If he reboots the computer, does outlook send and receive correctly?

    Do you have the vertical navigation bar on the left or the buttons on the bottom?

    If the buttons are on the bottom, press Ctrl + 6 to open the Folder list module.

    If the buttons are down the left side, click the last button - its either dots or window pane icon - click the folder button.

    Look in the Sync issues folder. The red text is an error - the folder name line may be black a line or two above the red lines.

    You can empty the folder when you are done looking at the entries - Outlook will create more if there are still sync issues.
