Syncing problem using rules

Hey,

I hope someone outhere can help me to figure out Outlook for Windows.

I have two mailboxes, lets call them A: ******@help.com and B: ******@help.com.

I have created a rule for all outgoing mails from A that creates a copy in B's inbox. I can see the mails in B's inbox, copying works.

But the important step of synchronizing the mails with B's mail server fails. However, if I copy an email from A's inbox to B's inbox by hand, the synchronization with the remote server works fine

My current outlook version is: Microsoft® Outlook® für Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2209 Build 16.0.15629.20196) 32 Bit.

Both mailboxes are hosted at Ionos (1&1).

I am grateful for any help.

Best,
Rainer

    Hello Simbarashe,

yes that is exactly my problem. Unfortunately I can't give you an error message.

Sending and receiving "works" fine, it exits without any error message. Also a folder "Sync Issue" is not created.

However, I would like to point out that the synchronization works fine when I manually copy an email to the mailbox.

    Best regards,

    Rainer

    Hello Rainer,

Good day! Thanks for posting in Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

I understand you have created a rule to copy emails from one mailbox to another, but the emails moved by the rule are not synced to the remote server. Please correct me if I am wrong.

To help us to narrow down this issue kindly let me know how did you find out the synchronization failed, did you get an error message? If you are getting an error message, please share with me for further troubleshooting.

We are looking forward to your reply. Thank you for your cooperation.

    Sincerely,

    Simbarashe | Microsoft Community Moderator
