POP3 server issues

Since this morning the POP3 server is not working with my Microsoft outlook software.

Can you check what is the issue with POP3 server at you side, please

    Same problem like the author. POP3 goes down for a few days every other month. I need access to my outlook.com account via Outlook 2016 using POP Microsoft!

    Hello, thank you for your comments.

    This has happened twice for me in the last month, causing no emails for 3-6 days.

    What should I be doing now to prevent this from recurring again, and so that I have the correct settings for October 2022?

    I am not very tech savvy so apologize in advance for my questions.

    Do I need to make changes to:

    1. My Outlook on my desktop Office professional? or
    2. My Outlook 365 settings? or
    3. Does my email provider need to change something at their end?

    Per your description, I know there is an ongoing issue with POP3 accounts and Outlook client, this has to do with the basic authentication service deprecation to an end due in October Deprecation of Basic authentication in Exchange Online | Microsoft Docs. The service has been temporarily disabling basic auth so that tenant admins become aware they are using it. If you're an Office 365 business user, your admin can log into the M365 portal with a tenant admin account to check for any messages in the message center about this e.g. https://admin.microsoft.com/Adminportal/Home?source=applauncher#/MessageCenter.
