Enable read receipts when using a third party app to send Microsoft 365 emails?

I have an email database that syncs with my microsoft 365 email account to send the emails and such with pre-made templates. The issue is that unlike when sending with the outlook desktop app, sending emails via a linked third party (goes through the outlook web server) doesn't generate read receipts. Is there anyway to enable read receipts when sending this way, or do they only work when using the desktop app?

    Based on your description, I have a general understanding of your problem, given that your problem is happening on Outlook on the web, because our forum lacks relevant knowledge and permissions, so to better help you and not waste more time, please kindly try to create a service ticket in the Microsoft 365 admin center to support > service requests through navigation, as they have more access permissions than on this forum, and professional engineers will further help you.

    Note: if you are not using admin account, please kindly ask admin within your organization for help.
